A website created for the Addys award show 2021
Project Summary
If you're not familiar with the Addys, let me give a little detail. AAF Buffalo hosts a yearly advertising awards for all the advertising companies in Buffalo. Every year, a different company steps up to help create a new themed experience for the award show attendees. In 2021, it was CW's turn.
Straight off the low of the pandemic, spring 2021 was still a world of 6 foot bubbles, making it impossible to have a regular award show, but AAF and CW would not be dissuaded. The team behind the event put together a full web experience (never done before for the award show) and a drive in theater to experience the show. I had the privilege of being on that team, helping make style decisions, and creating promotional materials before the show.

Visual Web Layouts
Showcase Style Iterations
The Adfamous showcase website was a massive endeavor undertaken by a series of team members. The main entry page was tackled by others, while I was set to work out how the showcase and the winners would be displayed.
I explored many slightly different iterations to figure out the best visual placement of the elements.
Promotional Materials
Social Media presence & emails
The style of the night was vintage drive in hollywood theater. For the weeks leading up to the event I created a number of stylistic promotional and informational materials for attendees.
I created the stylistic social media posts, as well as designed, laid out, then prepped the emails in mailchimp to be sent out.
Conclusion
This project was one of the first I participated in while at CW. We were embarking on something that had never been done before, creating an entire showcase website for the Addy's. It was the perfect way to get my feet wet and dabble in a million places. Outside the web layouts and media content, I also used wordpress to help log each submission, HTML and CSS to tweak the mailchimp layouts, and the mailchimp email builder. The whole process was a team effort and in the end it came together and even won awards in the 2022 Addy's!
